DCS-I is a single board system based on VLSI technology for the study of basic digital communication techniques. This training system covers various sampling methods, modulation techniques, data coding, multiplexing and voice communication. Necessary input signals are provided on-board to avoid use of multiple function generators reducing the cost & complexity of the entire setup. System is provided with test points for the input & output of every functional block involved in the experiment. Onboard LED indicators reduces the use of oscilloscope where only the binary status of signal is important. Switch faults are provided for deeper study of the circuit involved. The system is equipped with complete courseware for students as well as for teachers. In addition to this, interactive user-friendly e-Manual software is also provided.
